Why is claiming your business in directories useless?

Detailed Information

When I tried to populate the content of a few of the People and Business listings, I realised I needed much more information to create the listing. Currently, I am creating a list of people I have personally visited, and I am writing a few lines about what I learned about them. Currently, all of those listings can be claimed by their respective owners, but I have the impression that I am repeating what others have done. It’s a dull concept. There are two issues with claiming the profile.

The first is that there are hundreds of directory sites, and your business will be listed in all of them, so you cannot claim your business in all of them, which is a waste of time and adds no value by claiming. Even if I leave these listings as Claimable by respective people, I am confident that no one will claim because it will take years for them to realise that this website has their listing and it has not yet been claimed. The second is, even after they claim, what are they going to do with that listing other than change the status to claimed? As a result, both cases appear to be practically useless to me.

Do it yourself is a failed website builder or page creation model. Nobody has time to deal with this. People don’t have time to write blog posts for their own websites, so how can you expect them to answer your question in a directory site? Another issue with my website is that the directory listing is part of my personal brand, so I believe it is not preferable for anyone to claim this listing, which appears to be a personal brand, in order to sell services. This is something I understand. To fix this, I’ll have to write the listing in my name, and it won’t be claimed. Consider this directory listing to be my recommendations to people and businesses.Do you believe it will work? Could be or could not be. Let me give it a shot.

I recall why I am attempting to compile information about people and businesses for the general public. I thought about starting a blog in Tamil when I registered a domain in my name, and I did for a while, but I can’t write blogs on a regular basis, so I haven’t used it in a couple of years. Recently, I considered why I should not use my personal brand website to sell the service that I have been providing for decades to Chennai residents only. So I used this website to write the blog to promote my services.

Then I wondered why I shouldn’t work with third-party vendors in Chennai by listing their services on my website. I wrote a piece about it. I came up with the claiming concept after narrowing down the list. Anyway, my ultimate goal is to provide accurate information about the listings in the content so that customers can benefit from it. To accomplish this, I will need to interact with listing owners to obtain all of these details. It can be interviewed in a written, video, or faq format.

If I meet some people, I can learn about their services, professionals, expertise, pluses, and minuses. If I have never met them and have never used their services, I am not qualified to write about them. I’m not sure what questions I should ask them. I can prepare standard template questions, but they will be ineffective. That is why I placed a contact form below each People listing to allow visitors to ask questions about that person, job, or expertise. This is a reasonable way to get questions from visitors who have known the people for a long time. I don’t know how long it will take to accomplish this, so I can’t anticipate getting questions from the contact form right away.

So, do I have to send a YouTuber on my behalf for a video interview? No, not for the time being. The only way is to send an email to each person on the list with questions that I create first. If it works, we can apply it to others. II know about 50 to 60 people in the service industry and retail; first, I’ll collect information from them via email. For new faces and businesses, we must first study them before asking questions.
